You can add most Pages to the “My favorites” area of the Navigation pane in AX, but you can also filter those pages automatically when you open them from your favorites.
To do this, first you will need to have created the filter you wish to apply, and then add the Page you’d like to the My favorites area.
When the page is in your My favorites area, Right-click on the “My favorites” menu item and choose “Organize favorites…”
This will open the Organize favorites window.
Select the favorite item you wish to filter and click the “Edit query” button.
This will open the Edit query window.
Select the Query that you wish to apply from the “Query“ dropdown and click the “OK” button.
You will be returned to the Organize favorites window.
Now you need to rename the Favorite item to reflect the filter applied to it.
Make sure the favorite is selected and click the “Rename” button.
This will open the Rename favorite window.
Enter a new name that is more descriptive of what will be shown and click the “OK” button.
You will be returned to the Organize favorites window. Note the Favorite item’s name has been changed. Click the “Close” button to finish.
Now when you click the Favorite item, it will open the filtered page.
