How to Add a Person as a Driver in D365

If you are asked to add a Driver into D365 to appear in the Load planning workbench Vehicle/Driver area, do the following:

Navigate to the Employees page in D365

Human resources >> Workers >> Employees

This will open the Employees page. Before you add a new employee, make sure that the user doesn’t already have an account.

Otherwise, click the “New” button.

This will open the Hire new worker flyover pane on the right side.

Enter the driver’s First name, Last name, Personnel number, and choose an Employment start date.

When done, choose “Hire and add details

This will open the driver’s employee record.

In the Worker summary fasttab, click the “Designation” drop down and choose “Driver

When done, make sure to click the “Save” button and close the record.
