How to Copy an Existing Vendor to Another Company in D365

If you get a request to set up an existing vendor in another company (Already in NBI, need in NLLC), follow these directions.

Navigate to

Accounts payable >> Vendors >> All vendors

This will take you to the All vendors list page.

Find and select the existing vendor you wish to copy.

On the Vendor tab in the Ribbon, choose “Add vendor to another legal entity” dropdown.

Choose the company you wish to copy the vendor to.

Choose the Vendor group

Choose “USD” as the currency

If the vendor will be ready to use immediately, choose “No” for Vendor hold.

This will create and open a new vendor record in the company you are copying the Vendor to.

You will need to re-enter the information in the Payment and Tax 1099 fasttabs.

You will also need to confirm the information in the Vendor ebanking details page

In the company you copied the vendor to, navigate to

Treasury automation suite >> Common >> Vendor eBanking details

This will take you to the Vendor eBanking details page.

Find and select the Vendor you created and choose “Payment specifications” at the top.

This will take you to the Vendor eBanking payment spec details page.

In the Settings fasttab choose the Payment bank account

Make sure the Vendor address is chosen in the Wire transfer/IAT – 1 fasttab.

Close when done.
