How to Edit or Delete a Shared Template For Creating a New Product
If something is wrong with one of the shared templates (Missed a setup option) you can either delete and recreate the template or edit it.
First navigate to
Common >> Setup >> Record templates
Select the “Templates” tab mid page.
Select the template to Edit or Delete.
Choose either “Edit” or “Delete”.
If you delete the template, you can then recreate it. If you choose Edit, you will be taken to the released product that was originally used as the template. Make your changes there, save and you’re done.
