How to Set Up Project Contract ID

For Customer Repair T&M Work Orders

When creating a Work Order for Customer Repairs, there may be times when the Customer Account is not available in the Project Contract ID field dropdown menu.  Following are instructions for creating the Project Contract ID.

In the Work Order Line Details area click the Project ID, this will take you to the Projects screen for this project.

In the Projects Screen under the Project Tab click the New button.  This will take you to the New Project screen.  In the Project Type dropdown select Time and Material, In the Project Name field enter the Customer Name and finally, in the Project Group dropdown select TM.

In the Project Contract ID dropdown, click the +, this will open the New Project Contract screen.  In the Project Contract ID field enter the Customer Number, and in the Name field, enter the Customer Name.  In the Funding Type dropdown select Customer and in the Funding Source dropdown, select/enter the Customer Number then click OK.

Now back to the Work Order click on Project Group, this will open the Change Project Group screen.  Here in the Change to Group dropdown select TM and in the Project Contract ID field select/enter the Customer Number and click OK.  Now that the process is complete this will allow Accounts Receivable to invoice the customer for the repairs.
