How to Reset the Teams Room System Mic/Speaker Pod
Occasionally the MSpeech Mic/Speaker pod will become “disconnected” where the Teams Room System can not access it. The behavior is as follows:
Green pulsating light on the MSpeech Mic/Speaker Pod:
On the MTouchII Tabletop Panel, in the Settings >> Peripherals menu, you’ll see a message that “The previously selected device…isn’t available” under Microphone for Conferencing and Speaker for Conferencing.
To resolve the issue, you’ll need to reset the MSpeech Mic/Speaker pod.
On the MTouchII Tabletop Panel, tap “More”
Then tap “Settings”
You will be prompted to enter the device administrator password. (SFB)
After you enter the password, tap “Windows Settings” in the left pane.
This will restart the device and boot into Windows desktop mode. At the login screen, choose the “Administrator” account.
Enter the administrator password and continue.
You will be taken to the Windows desktop interface for the device.
Run the “Yealink RoomConnect” app. You may have to look through the start menu if there’s not a desktop shortcut.
This will open the Yealink RoomConnect app with the devices attached showing in the main menu.
If you do not see the the MSpeech Mic/Speaker pod as a device, and the green light on the MSpeech Mic/Speaker pod is not on and it’s a spinning blue light ring, you will need to unplug/replug in the usb connection from the MSpeech Mic/Speaker pod until it returns to the pulsing green light.
Once you see the MSpeech device in the Yealink RoomConnect app, tap on it.
On the MSpeech menu, choose “Update Manually”
In the Update Manually menu, choose “Browse”
On the device that has done this frequently, the firmware file is stored on the Desktop. If the file isn’t on the device, you will need to download it from Yealink’s site and get it on the TRS device. (You can use a USB drive and hook it up to the “Computer” part of this system.
Choose the firmware file and Open.
Tap “Upgrade”
Tap “OK” at the confirmation screen.
The update will be applied to the device. Usually takes less than a minute.
When completed, you should get a message stating “Update successful”.
Tap “Close”
The light ring on the MSpeech Mic/Speaker pod should also now be flashing blue.
You can now close the Yealink RoomConnect app and restart the device.
Once the device reboots, the light ring on the MSpeech Mic/Speaker pod should be blue.
And the error messages in the Settings >> Peripherals menu should now be gone.
Make a quick test call to confirm Sound/Mic works correctly.
