How to Find Associated Project/Work Order

From the Associated Purchase Order

Having trouble remembering/finding the Work Order you created a purchase order for?  You know the purchase order number but just can’t remember which Work Order it is associated with.  Here is how to find that information from within the purchase order.

Navigate to the “All Purchase Orders” screen then, filter by the associated purchase order.  In our example we will use NBMS purchase order PO00083857.  After locating the purchase order, open it to the Purchase Order Lines screen as below.   Expand the Line Details fasttab and select the Project tab.

Now let’s zoom in for a closer look at exactly what we can find in the Line Details Project tab.  If you hover the mouse pointer over the Project ID, a flyout will open.  In the flyout you will see the Project Name, in our example this is 83092: NBMS008254.  83092 is the Work Order number and NBMS008254 is the Asset/Unit the work was performed on.

If you need more information you can click on the Project ID, this will take you to the associated project.  In the associated project select the Manage tab at the top of the screen then in the Related Information section expand the Item Tasks dropdown menu, as in the screenshot below.  If you click the Purchase Orders button, this will open the Project Purchase Orders screen for the associated purchase order.
