For Audio Alerting the ALGO needs to be configured as a user with 3rd party device.
For Paging the ALGO could be configured as a paging only device, but this limits the functionality and requires extra steps to page. It's likely only appropriate if we decide to do paging zones/broadcast zones. By configuring as a second user you can just call the ALGO and start talking, and you can hear the other end respond.
The guide from Algo is attached but setup is simple.
- Create the users on ring central, one for each function.
If the pager is tied to an existing user, then you could set it up as a second phone on that user. If it's part of a call queue, you'll create it as above and add it to the queue.
- Take the data from the SIP configuration on the device in RingCentral and put it in the appropriate fields on the Algo as noted in the Algo guide.
- If you'd like to enable 2-way communication on the paging system, enable that under features. Adjust volume and Ambient Noise Compensation as desired.
