For Audio Alerting the ALGO needs to be configured as a user with 3rd party device.

For Paging the ALGO could be configured as a paging only device, but this limits the functionality and requires extra steps to page.  It's likely only appropriate if we decide to do paging zones/broadcast zones.  By configuring as a second user you can just call the ALGO and start talking, and you can hear the other end respond.

The guide from Algo is attached but setup is simple.

  1. Create the users on ring central, one for each function.

If the pager is tied to an existing user, then you could set it up as a second phone on that user.  If it's part of a call queue, you'll create it as above and add it to the queue.

  2. Take the data from the SIP configuration on the device in RingCentral and put it in the appropriate fields on the Algo as noted in the Algo guide.

  3. If you'd like to enable 2-way communication on the paging system, enable that under features.  Adjust volume and Ambient Noise Compensation as desired.
