How to run the remediation script in Intune
To run the remediation script, select the 3-dot icon at the top right of the device options menu and click "Run remediation (preview)
Select the Restart and Backup Printer Spooler and click Run Remediation. The script will take around 20 seconds to apply to the device. This time heavily depends on the speed of the users internet connection.
The Script will create a backup folder called SpoolerBackup which will be located on the computers C drive. You will see the SHD and SPL files if their was a document stuck in their que.
To re-print the stuck document from the backup folder, follow the instructions below.
Navigate to their print spooler at C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
Copy the SHD and SPL files into C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
You will see your documents in the print que. To print them, manually restart the print spooler service. You should see the documents leave the que shortly after restarting the print spooler service.
