Mac OS User Setup Guide 

Getting Started 

  1. Power on your device
  1. Login as the user named “TempAccount” with the information listed below.
     Username: TempAccount
     Password: 
  1. a. If you are on a Nelson Brothers site; you can continue to step 4 as you should already be connected to NB-Secure. 

b. If you are not on a Nelson Brothers site; select the Wi-Fi icon on the top right of your screen and connect to your home/hotel/coffee shop Wi-Fi.

  1. Log out of the TempAccount by selecting the Apple menu at the top left  > Log Out TempAccount….
  2. At the login screen click the user’s icon at in the middle of the screen (The username “TempAccount” should be below this icon) and choose "Other...."

  1. You should now be prompted to input a username and password.
  2. Login with your [email protected] and your NB password.
  3. Most Microsoft apps should be logged in automatically, however you may need to enter your username and password for the first launch of the application.  

Please refer to the second page if you would like to set up Touch ID or need access to personal applications and/or iCloud

Set up Touch ID

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Touch ID & Password A red fingerprint on a white backgroundAI-generated content may be incorrect. in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. Click Add Fingerprint, enter your password, then follow the onscreen instructions.

If your Mac or Magic Keyboard has Touch ID, the sensor is located at the top right of your keyboard.

 Get access to personal iCloud Apps and iCloud 

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings 
  2. From the sidebar, click Sign in.
  3. Sign in with your Apple Account on Mac.
  4. Enter your Apple Account primary email address or phone number and your password.
  5. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.
     

Get access to download apps from Apple Store and get access to purchased applications.

  2. Click Sign In at the bottom-left corner of the App Store window.
  3. Sign in with your Personal Apple ID account.
  4. Download any apps you may need.
