How to Add/Edit Delivery Ticket Special Instructions/Directions for a Customer

Open D365 and Navigate to the Accounts receivable module

Expand the Customers fastab and click “All customers

This will open the All customers list page.

Find and select the Customer you wish to edit.  In this example we are using Customer: 1000705

Click the “Attachments” button in the Ribbon

 

 

This will open the “Attachments for Customers - Customer account: 1000705, Two Eight Blasting McRae AR”.  First, select the item you want to edit in the section to the left then, click the Edit button.  Next, make any needed changes to the text in the Details section to the right.   

 

After you have completed the changes for Delivery Notes and Special Instructions, click the Save button and exit the Attachments for Customers screen.

 

If there are no Delivery Notes or Special Instructions and you need to create them, do the following.

Click the New button.   From the dropdown menu click DeliveryNotes to add Delivery Notes or, click Notes to add Special Instructions.  Enter a Description “Delivery Notes” or “Special Instructions” then, type in the Details.  When you are finished, click the Save button at the top of the screen.

By now you have noticed that the Details area is quite small, here is a tip to help overcome this issue.  Open the Notepad App, and either type or copy/paste the Details information there.  When you are finished typing/editing, copy/paste the information from Notepad back into the details area in D365.  This method allows a much better typing/editing platform for this process.
