How to Edit the Presence Buttons (Speed Dials) on the Yealink Desk Phones For RingCentral
To setup or change your Presence buttons (Speed Dials) on your Yealink desk phones for RingCentral, first navigate to:
https://service.ringcentral.com/
Enter your Nelson Brothers domain account (Ex. [email protected]) and choose “Next”
You will be required to authenticate using your domain credentials.
After authenticating, you should be taken to the RingCentral Service Portal Overview page.
Click on “Settings” to continue.
Expand the “Devices & Numbers” section.
Then click the “Presence” button
This will open the Presence pop-over page.
Select the vertical ellipsis ( ⋮ ) next to the key you want to customize and choose the option you want. (Depending on your account, you may not see all of these options)
- Assign Extension – Choose a Nelson Brothers line extension. If enabled, this will also show you free/busy status for the line you choose.
- Assign Speed Dial – Lets you assign a speed dial for outside lines.
- Assign Feature – Lets you choose from some additional command buttons to add.
- Assign Primary Line – Lets you choose an instance of your primary line. You should already have 2 of these by default.
- Assign Shared Line – Lets you choose another line to add if you have access to one.
- Assign Local Key – Not used for our phones.
After you choose “Assign Extension”, you’ll see the Assign Extension pop over window.
Find the extension you wish to add, select it, then click the “Assign” button.
If you choose “Assign Speed Dial”, you’ll see the Assign Speed Dial pop over window.
Type the Name and Number you wish to add, then click the “Assign” button.
When you are done, you will be returned to the Presence window.
When you are done making your changes, click the “Save” button to continue.
You will receive a warning that your phone will now be rebooted. Click the “Yes” button to continue.
Your desk phone should restart shortly afterwards and the changes should then be effective.
